The firm has continued to grow and earned a reputation of providing the personal attention of a small practice, with the quality work more commonly found in large public accounting firms.  In 1997, he was joined by Matthew Polacco, now a partner in the firm. On January 1, 2006 the firm merged with Hochberg & Sachs, a local public accounting firm and was known as Hochberg, Addeo & Polacco, LLC.  The firm was later renamed Addeo, Polacco & Associates, LLC.

Art is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the states of New Jersey and New York and has more than 30 years of professional experience. He is a graduate of Seton Hall University, and W. Paul Stillman School of Business, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Tax Section and of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. He regularly represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and before the State of New Jersey Division of Taxation.

Art was born and raised in Monmouth County, New Jersey. He now lives in Eatontown, New Jersey with his wife and their two children. Over the years, Art has held various volunteer positions with not-for-profit organizations in the capacities of treasurer and advisor. He lectures regularly before many groups discussing tax laws and condominium and homeowner association issues.

Patricia Brown – Full Charge Bookkeeper

Patty joined Addeo, Polacco & Penta, LLC in 2002. Prior to joining our firm, she worked for many years in private industry performing all aspects of bookkeeping. She is instrumental in providing bookkeeping, payroll tax return preparation and tax filing services for our clients.

Vito graduated in 2007 from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and holds a bachelor degree in accounting. He joined Addeo, Polacco & Penta, LLC and is currently a tax professional with the Firm. His primary area of concentration is tax compliance, planning, and research. In addition, he is involved with litigation support engagements. Bernie is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the states of New Jersey and New York and holds a Master in Business Administration degree from Long Island University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brooklyn College, as well as a Paralegal Diploma from New York University. Bernie is a member of both the New Jersey State and the New York State Society of CPAs. He was an active member of The Estate Planning and Fiduciary Income Taxation Committees of the New York State Society for many years.  He served as the Associate Editor of the Estate Planning Column of The CPA Journal and published several articles in the CPA Journal.  Bernie has also presented seminars before various professional groups and taught continuing professional education to Certified Public Accountants.

In addition to working with personal and business tax matters, he has extensive expertise in estate planning, estate taxes, not-for-profit organizations and helping clients resolve tax issues with both Federal and State taxing authorities.

Bernie lives in Manalapan, New Jersey with his wife and has served on the Board of Trustees of his house of worship for several years.

She has more than 25 years of experience working in the public accounting industry with many accomplishments. Accounting for small businesses is her area of expertise. She is an advisor for QuickBooks accounting program, and with various other accounting software programs. Deborah advises new business owners on the set up of their accounting system and reporting responsibilities.  She combines her degree in education and knowledge of accounting by teaching our clients and their staff the QuickBooks accounting program and how to make the most efficient use of their computer’s software features. Deborah also has considerable experience setting up client electronic filing registrations and assisting our clients with their electronic tax filings.

Debbie earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Ocean County College and attended Georgian Court College.  She is also a New Jersey Notary Public.

Debbie typically guides our clients from the inception of their new business advising them in the setup of their accounting system, payroll and tax reporting responsibilities.  Additionally, she provides consulting in the areas of cost savings and cost analysis for small businesses.  Debbie’s area of concentration with the firm is that of providing income tax preparation, review and tax projections for our business and individual clients.

Debbie resides with her family in Brick, New Jersey.  She is active in her home community serving as the past treasurer and coach of the Brick Memorial Pop Warner Association.

In addition to providing accounting and consulting services to the medical profession, Carmen has assisted with medical mergers such as those involving clinics and rehabilitation centers. He has experience with nursing homes, surgery centers, and related government entities as well. Carmen’s franchise experience includes national franchise stores, and he has performed accounting services and installed cost control systems for hotels/motels, recreational properties, restaurants and nightclubs.

Carmen received his B.S. in Accounting from Monmouth University where he was a member of the varsity soccer team. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA). He speaks on health care and business topics for various university and professional audiences. In addition, Carmen serves on the Board of Directors as well as the audit and loan committees at Colonial American Bank. He is also a member of the finance committee for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Monmouth County.
